Hysterically funny, Quixotic-esque mind-trip of a road trip. While it’s easy to become dissuaded by Cameron’s “Screw everyone” attitude, Libba Bray quickly makes you feel for him as he goes off in search of a cure for mad-cow disease. Unlike the Gemma Doyle trilogy, Going Bovine takes the concept and runs with it, like a madwoman on a sugar high and having watched too many Disney movies. Wonderful satire at its finest, and a fantastic read all around.
